Pacita Bautista
Dacanay
April 13, 1942 – February 3, 2025
Pacita Dacanay, 82, of San Diego, CA, passed away on February 3, surrounded by family. She was born on April 13, 1942, in Plaridel, Bulacan, Philippines, and lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication to those around her.
A devoted wife to the late Eduardo Dacanay, a loving mother to her five children, and a cherished grandmother, Pacita always put family first. She was a pillar of strength for her loved ones and a great friend and neighbor, always looking after everyone else. Her warmth and generosity touched countless lives.
She encouraged all her children to pursue their education. She sacrificed everything to ensure her children and grandchildren could have a comfortable life, always putting their needs before hers.
She was a great cook and brought that passion when she and her late husband, Eduardo, migrated to the U.S. in 2007. She loved cooking traditional Filipino food and sharing it with friends, bringing people together through her delicious meals and warm hospitality.
Always smiling, her presence filled every room with joy. You will remember her through the playful pinches she gave every time you hugged her—a small but unforgettable gesture of her love.
Her passing brings deep sorrow to her family and relatives back home in the Philippines and here in the US, who mourn her loss and cherish her memory. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Proverbs 31:26
"She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue."
