Patricia Joan (Zeddies) Braun was born on August 22, 1932 in Wisconsin. She was the second of seven children born to Alfred and Kathryn (Dewane) Zeddies. She was raised in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School. She went on to graduate from St. Mary's College of Nursing in Milwaukee. While in Milwaukee she met George S. Braun. They married September 8, 1956 and were married 55 years before George's death January 5, 2012. They moved to Livermore, California in August 1957, then Pleasanton before settling in Rancho Bernardo in June 1968 where they raised their five children. Pat was a homemaker for many years before resuming a nursing career at Palomar Hospital in 1972. She retired in 1983. She passed away on her 92nd birthday, August 22, 2024.

She is survived by her children Michael, Gregory, Colleen (David) Soave, Stephanie (Stephen) Brinsfield, and Carol (Lawrence) Sparks, grandchildren Lindsey (Thomas) Strand, Matthew (girlfriend Janelle) and Michelle Soave, Connor and Cameron Brinsfield, Sarah (Stephen) Ouellette, Jenna (Eric) Llamas, and David Sparks, great-granddaughters Arabella and Dahlia Strand, and Sawyer Ouellette, sisters Sherry Backhaus and Kathy Rothmund, brother Lee (Connie) Zeddies, sister's-in-law Jean Zeddies and Lorrie Zeddies as well as many nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by her parents, husband, brothers Don and Rich Zeddies, sister Maureen Zeddies, brother's-in-law Glen Backhaus, Roger Rothmund, Ralph Braun, Alvin Eilbes, sister's-in-law Rosie Braun and Madlyn Eilbes, father-in-law John Braun, mother-in-law Genevieve (Kolb) Braun, and nephew Dennis Braun.
