Patricia Ellen was born June 28, 1944 to John and Fern Kehm in Chicago, Illinois.   Born and raised in Chicago, Patricia met the love of her life on a road trip to Wisconsin with her cousin Janet O'Connor.  Patricia and James Wall Hargrove, III (Jim) were married on June 5, 1966 in Chicago.   Patricia and Jim welcomed two children, James Wall IV and Cynthia Elizabeth.  In the early years of their marriage they lived in Rhode Island, New Jersey, Illinois before settling in Valparaiso, Indiana.   While in Valpo, Patricia started working at Opportunity Enterprises and got involved with Special Olympics.  Over the years she devoted lots of volunteer time to Special Olympics.

After Jim's passing in 2007, Patricia moved to San Diego, CA to be closer to family.  While in San Diego she worked at Scripps Health and spent most of her time with her grandkids, Raymond and Caleb.  Her happy place was Disneyland and her favorite ride was Pirates of the Caribbean.  Until recent years, Patricia would always travel back to Chicago/Valpo to visit family and friends and attend the famous Popcorn Festival.  She enjoyed watching her grandkids play basketball and was at almost every game.   Her friends knew her at Patti or Grandma Pat (G Pat for short).

Patricia is survived by her daughter Cindy Hourani of San Diego, CA; son & daughter in law, Jim  and Julianne Hargrove of Bremerton, WA; grandchildren Raymond, Caleb, Jeffrey, Ashley, Michael and Trevor (Katelynn); great-grandchildren Noah & Kairi.  She was preceded in death by her husband James in 2007.

Per Patricia's wishes she will be placed in the ocean along side her husband some time next month when family can get to San Diego.
