Peggy Ann Edwards (née Wilkinson), aged 88, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, in Poway, California. Born on January 9, 1938, in Washington, DC, Peggy lived a remarkable life filled with love, adventure, and generosity.

Peggy had a distinguished career working at the Pentagon and later at MCAS Miramar. Her dedication and work ethic were evident throughout her professional life. In 1994, she was awarded a medal from the Navy for Meritorious Service. Beyond her career, Peggy was known for her vibrant personality and her deep love for animals—especially cats. Her compassion extended to all creatures, and she was a steadfast advocate for their well-being.

Peggy shared a beautiful life with her late husband, Robert Edwards. Together, they explored the world through their shared passion for travel and cruising. Their adventures took them to many corners of the globe, creating cherished memories that reflected their love for one another and their zest for life.

Family was at the heart of Peggy’s world. She is survived by her children: Steve (Chris) Froebe, Lori Froebe, and William Froebe; her grandchildren: Craig Froebe, Steven (Brittany) Froebe, Brian Froebe, Holly Noonan, Megan Froebe, and Sara Froebe, her great grandchildren: Noah Froebe and Juan Carlos Cedillo; as well as her sister Sharon (Jim) Cowley. Peggy also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, stepchildren, and countless others who affectionately knew her as "Grandma Peg." She was predeceased by her beloved grandson Christopher Froebe and her mother Mildred Poss.

Peggy’s generosity knew no bounds. She loved deeply and gave selflessly to those around her. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart; she adored them beyond measure. Known for her adventurous spirit and love of gambling, Peggy embraced life with enthusiasm and joy.

A private celebration of Peggy’s life will be held at a later date to honor the incredible legacy she leaves behind. May the memory of Peggy Ann Edwards bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Gathering will be held on August 7, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 02:30 PM at St. Gabriel 13734 Twin Peaks Rd. It is a casual Celebration of Life
