Phyllis Grace (Daniels) McFedries
February 5, 1920 – December 31, 2022

After a long and well-lived life, Phyllis McFedries passed away on December 31, 2022 at the age of 102. She was born to Leon and Elizabeth Daniels in Oak Park, Illinois and raised in neighboring River Forest, Illinois where she also attended Rosary College attaining a BA degree in history. She was introduced to her husband of 66 years, George McFedries, by a mutual friend, and they were married in San Diego in September 1943. After the war, they returned to River Forest where they made a wonderful home and family consisting of three daughters, Gale Anne, Kathleen Phyllis, and Diane Susan. While raising their daughters, Phyllis was involved in several local charities and was active in her church. George and Phyllis returned to San Diego in retirement in 1985 where they enjoyed many happy years surrounded by wonderful friends. Phyllis and George also enjoyed traveling and visited many countries around the world. Phyllis was pre-deceased by her husband George and daughter Gale. Left to remember what a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she was, are Kathleen Brownlee, Diane Heinz (Phil), 6 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. At Phyllis' request, there will be no service.
