Ruth Annette Talle, age 80, passed away at her home on Thursday, November 25, 2021 in San Diego. Ruth was the only child born to Herman and Ruth Reyelt in Los Angeles, CA on March 27, 1941. After graduating high school, Ruth received an Associate's Degree from the Santa Monica College of Business and worked as an Administrative Assistant in Los Angeles. She was active at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Santa Monica where she met her beloved husband, Otto, to whom she married in 1967. The couple moved to Rancho Bernardo in 1968 for Otto's job at Hewlett Packard. Ruth was a homemaker and loving mother to her two sons, Eric and Mark. She volunteered at their schools as an active supporter of their many extra-curricular activities. Ruth was also a devoted member of the Rancho Bernardo Community Church for more than 50 years; singing in the choir that entire time. She enjoyed many trips traveling with the church to various countries as a member of the choir. Ruth served as Deacon and choir president and also generously volunteered her time in various church groups working weekly at the church's local thrift store and most recently as a volunteer in the church's welcome center. Ruth's love of travel also took her on many cruises with her husband, Otto. Together, they traveled to all parts of the world on a total of 22 cruises. In recent years, Ruth enjoyed her time as a proud "Granny" to her three grandchildren. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Alison Talle of San Diego, CA and Mark and Mary Talle of Poway, CA; grandchildren Paige, Luke and Megan. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Otto Talle in January 2018. A church service in memory of Ruth will be held at 11:00 in the morning on Saturday, January 15th at the Rancho Bernardo Community Church, 17010 Pomerado Road, San Diego, CA 92128.
