Zarrabian
September 23, 1952 – May 18, 2026
Saidd Zarrabian of Rancho Santa Fe passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2026, he was 73 years old. Born in Tehran, Iran, Saiid immigrated to the United States when he was 13 years old and proudly became an American citizen. He was the beloved son of Abdullah and Gilan (Tehranchi) Zarrabian.
Saiid is survived by Marie, his devoted wife of 39 years, his daughter Mitra; and his son Alex, all of Rancho Santa Fe, CA. He is also survived by his brother Massood Zarrabian and his wife Elzeh, of Brookline, MA, as well as his nephews Dario and Neema.
A truly self-made man, Saiid earned a degree in Photography which he remarkably parlayed into a highly successful 45-year career. His leadership spanned multiple industries including CAD/CAM, biotech, pharmaceuticals, and stem cell cancer research. Yet, despite his professional success, Saiid always believed his greatest accomplishment was the family he so deeply loved and took immense pride in.
An avid classic car enthusiast, he loved working on cars, attending car shows and riding motorcycles. Saiid was also a passionate leader and a strong advocate for his community and neighbors, always fighting hard for what he believed was right.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 11am at the Church of the Nativity in Rancho Santa Fe.
