Sandra Sue Hazlett Jones passed away unexpectedly on May 9, 2022 in Escondido, CA.  She was born October 16, 1945 in Lake Elsinore, CA to Orison and Arlene Ferris.  Sandy was 76 years old.

After earning a Bachelor's Degree, Sandy started her career as an elementary school teacher. She later joined her parents' family business where they repaired and installed hydraulic lifts. She was dedicated to the success of the company for over 30 years.  Being a woman in the construction industry isn't always easy, but she was respected and ran the company with professional strength.

Family was Sandy's biggest love and achievement in life.  She delighted in spending time with her family as her children and grandchildren lived nearby. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling to different places with her husband while golf and Pilates also kept her active.  She was a member of the Country Club of Rancho Bernardo where she had many cherished friendships.  Sandy appreciated good music and found pleasure in growing beautiful roses.

Sandy is survived by her husband Gary Jones of San Diego, CA; son and daughter-in-law Kevin & Richelle Hazlett of San Diego; daughter and son-in-law Kari & Brady Bishop of San Diego; step-children Emily and (Jeff) Kozeluh of Castle Rock, CO and Brian Jones of Knoxville, TN; and four grandchildren Kyle, Tyler, Kole & Brett.  She was preceded in death by her first husband Jon Michael Hazlett in 2003.

Sandy will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Dearborn Memorial Park in Poway.
