Surrounded by the love of her family, Sandra Ann Stiritz was called home to the Lord on June 17, 2026. She was a devoted wife and mom, cherished Meema and loyal friend. She spent her life caring for others with compassion, steadiness and a generous heart. Sandra dedicated her career to nursing, touching countless lives with her kindness and unwavering commitment to those in her care.

Born on April 4, 1939, Sandra made her home in Poway for 57 years, becoming a quiet but steady part of the community she loved. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought light and laughter into her days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Rose Alaimo. Sandra is survived by her husband, Donald Stiritz, and by her children, Paul Stiritz (Danielle), Donna Arnold (Nathan), and Karen Lukowiak (Jeffrey). She was a proud Meema to Abby and Ashlyn Arnold, Jenna and Hayden Lukowiak, and Elise and Aubrey Stiritz, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her sister, Martha Alaimo, and her brother, James Alaimo Jr., who shared in her life, her memories, and her enduring love for family.

A mass to honor and celebrate Sandra will be held on August 21, 2026, at 10am at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Poway. (https://www.stgabrielspoway.org) There will be a reception following mass.
