Sharon Diane Stratton, 78, passed away at her home in Poway, CA on September 18, 2024. Sharon was born in McKenna, Washington on December 30, 1945 to Raymond and Helen Thompson.

She worked for nearly 20 years as a school bus driver for the Poway school district.  Sharon enjoyed painting and gardening, filling their backyard with beautiful plants and flowers.  With an interest in genealogy, Sharon has spent over 20 years gathering family history; creating extensive books for her side of the family.  She even helped Doug, who was adopted, locate his biological family.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Douglas Stratton of Poway, CA;  daughters Deanne (Apurv) Kamath of San Diego, CA and Sinclair Stratton of San Diego, CA; brother Charles (Nancy) Thompson of Portland, OR and grandson, Ry.  She was preceded in death by her son, James Stratton in 1989.

At her request, no formal services will be held.
