Sheila Ann Worley

Sheila Worley passed away at her residence in Poway at the age of 84 with her family holding her. She was born in Cambridge Massachusetts, the youngest of nine children to James Joseph Kelly and Grace Lillian Johnson.

Sheila was married to Gary Gammans Worley, a sailor on the USS Kitty Hawk, on 10 SEP 1961 in Belmont, Mass. During her husband's active duty, she devoted herself to raising their two sons, James Kelly and Gary Alan. The family moved to Poway, CA over 40 years ago and made the town their lifelong home.

Surviving Sheila are her loving son, Gary (wife Lisa); two grandchildren, Jessica Bolin (husband Drew) and Shannon Worley; three great grandchildren, Faith, Billy and Payton; and one great-great grandchild, Eliana. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.  Preceding her in death are her dedicated husband, Gary G.; her son, Jim; and her siblings: James Joseph Jr, Edward Francis, Mary Lillian Finneran, Gerald Leo, Joan A. Arena, Phyllis Kathryn Banks, Helen Therese Parker, and John Patrick.

Memorial Mass was held Friday, November 4, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Poway, CA.
