Sheryl Lynn Dunsmore

February 19, 1959 - October 22, 2020

Although Sheryl was born in Seattle, she grew up in Alaska and that's where she'd tell you she was from. After graduating Kenai Central High School in 1977, she went on to attend Mount St. Mary's University in Los Angeles, California, majoring in dance. In 1978, Sheryl decided to move to New York City, where she studied under the best in the dance business, so she could  one day dance on Broadway.

After New York City she moved back to Los Angeles for a short period, only to turn around and cross the country, moving to New Jersey in 1981. Sheryl lived many years in New Jersey, mostly working at ADP/Broadridge Financial Solutions in their Information Technology departments. Her son, Tony Michael Vangi, was born in May of 1987 and she continued to raise him in New Jersey until 2010, when she decided to move to southern California to be closer to her parents and sisters, Maureen and Gayle. There she continued her career in IT and worked for Scripps for the last 9 years.

Sheryl is predeceased by her sister Maureen Rouleau. She is survived by her son Tony Vangi and daughter-in-law Amelia Vangi, parents Merritt "Curley" Dunsmore and Gerry Dunsmore, sister Gayle Dunsmore, and extended nieces and nephews Erin and Alex Philp, godson Alex Philp, Robin Philp, Michael Annecharico, Kristen and Aubree Anderson, Gavin and Griffin Gehrig, Ryan and Lindsey Anderson, Emily and Madilynn Anderson.
