Obituary

Suzie Tazuko Fourre, 95, of Poway CA. Born January 29, 1930 in Koto, Tokyo Ward, Japan. Beloved aunt, godmother, extraordinary generous neighbor, and trusted friend to many passed away peacefully the morning of Friday, October 31, 2025 while residing at Poway Gardens. Preceded in death by husband Edward James Fourre Jr. and their two beloved dogs, both parents and four siblings in Japan, In-laws Edward Sr. and Lauretta Fourre, sister and brothers-in-law Marjorie and Glynn Sabourin, brother and sister-in-law Harold and Carol Sue Fourre, niece Michelle Marie Fourre, nephew David Sabourin. Survived in Japan by sister Nobuk Endo, and nephew Shoichro Tokiwa, and niece name unknown. In the United States by godchildren Bruce Fourre and Judy Hoover, 10 nephews and nieces and their spouses, 13 great-nephews and nieces and their spouses, 11 great-great-nephews and nieces, many additional great-great- nephews and nieces, and cousins.

Suzie met Edward while he was serving in the Navy in Japan, they soon married and moved to Minneapolis, MN and then Iowa. The temperatures were too cold for both of them in Minnesota and Iowa, and their final move was to California where they purchased the first house in their new Poway neighborhood.

Suzie has generously supported many organizations that were special to her own heart and soul, which would be anything that has to do with supporting children or animals. She would always say that she was not blessed with her own children, but she could help other children that needed more support.

The entire generations of family wishes to thank the numerous neighbors for their support, as Suzie desired to stay in her home after Edward's passing in June 2011, as well as the recent staff of caregivers at Poway Gardens and Hospice of the North Coast. Everyone's loving care and compassion supported Suzie during her most challenging times. We are indebted to your patience, dedication and loving care of our beloved aunt.

Suzie's remains were compassionately cared for at the Poway-Bernardo Mortuary. A small service and interment of cremated remains will be held at Miramar National Cemetery located at 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego, CA 92122 on November 26, 2025 at 11:30am  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St Jude's Children's Hospital in Suzie's name.
