Teresa
Suarez
June 1, 1932 – February 11, 2020
Teresa Suarez, born 06/01/1932 in Santiago, Chile to Natalio and Teresa Ramirez, was the youngest of two and preceded in death by her older brother Jose Ramirez. She grew up in Santiago where working as an accomplished seamstress, before catching the eye of a dashing young engineer, Oswaldo Suarez who married her on 11/08/1952. They were married 60 years, and were able to celebrate a 60 th milestone prior to Oswaldo joining the Lord in heaven.
Teresa was a devout Catholic. It was her love of God and her strong faith that helped pioneer the relocation of her family from her homeland in Chile to the United States. She worked hard as a seamstress alongside Oswaldo to give her children and grandchildren the opportunity of the American dream. Besides her strength as the family matriarch, Teresa was also an avid dog lover, and will likely be overjoyed to cuddle and feed table scraps in heaven to Dipsy, Snoopy, Precious, Fluffy, Lucy, Scruffy and Samantha. She also had a feisty spirit and great sense of humor, doling out parental advice with a wink of the eye that would no doubt raise a few eyebrows, but make you smile.
Teresa and Oswaldo Suarez's love is survived by Teresa's true joys in life, their three daughters: Angelica, Nelly, Cecilia and her son-in-law's Bill, Carlos and Carlos. She is also survived by her grandchildren Glen, Rikki, Patrick, Tiy, Danielle, David, Eric, Michelle, Sean, Tracy, Jeff, Britney, Nick and Nick; and great grandchildren Eric Jr., Logan, Gabriela, Vivian, Kelly, Ozzie, Allison, Richie, Olivia, Levi, Pearl, Izabella, Aleksandar, Cristian and Julian.
Teresa was the life force of the Suarez family. She was called home to God and to her loving husband, Oswaldo, surrounded by her family and friends on February 11, 2020. We have been richly blessed to have her in our lives, and now have her legacy, faith, and spirit with us always as our guide.
