Teresita Dumaguing Falucho passed away at her home in San Diego, CA on September 14, 2019. She was born January 16, 1939 in San Fernando La Union, Philippines to Corporal Policarpo and Esperanza Ordono Dumaguing.
Teresita graduated from The Philippine Women's University with a BS in nursing on April 17, 1962. Afterwards, she began her life outside of the Philippines as a Registered Nurse in Galveston TX. There, she married Warlito a US Navy Serviceman on August 6, 1966, traveled to numerous states, and continued her career in nursing while raising a family. Surviving cancer in the early 1990s, her nursing career was put on indefinite hold for recovery. She spent much of her time thereafter attending to her garden, reading her bible, and listening to gospel music, all of which she referred to as her form of therapy. A faithful Protestant, her unrelenting faith in God gave her the will and strength to endure to the age of 80, all to spend more time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, daughter Josephine Falucho-Thomas of Murrieta, CA and sons David Falucho of San Diego, CA and Daniel Falucho of Shiloh, IL, grand children Gabrielle and John Thomas, and Claire, Jonathan, Serena, Rena, and Lucile Falucho.
Visitation will be held on Thursday 26 September 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Chapel Service on Friday 27 September starting 9:00 AM at the Poway-Bernardo Mortuary. Burial will be held at Miramar National Cemetery at 11:30 following the Chapel Service. A 12:30 PM reception will follow at the Seaside Buffet in Miramar.
