Ursula Anne
Bruno
September 7, 1943 – March 16, 2019
Ursula Anne Bruno passed away at her home in Menifee, CA on March 16, 2019. She was born September 7, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to Peter and Carmela Anselmo. Ursula was 75 years old.
She graduated from high school and attended bible college in Rhode Island before coming to SoCal to visit a friend. Her eventual husband, Frank, met her in church and within a week, he snagged her for a lifetime (she stayed in Calif!). She lived with Frank's Aunt Esther and Uncle Armand until they were married a few months later. Ursula spent the majority of her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family and was a fabulous cook. She also took up photography and scrapbooking which she liked to do with her daughter Nina. Ursula was a member of St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Poway, where she was one of their bible study regulars. Ursula took great joy in being a Prayer Warrior with her St. Bart's grouping sisters every Thursday evening. She was a true believer in the power of prayer. Traveling was one of her favorite hobbies. She joined her friends and family on many memorable trips.
Ursula was preceded in death by her brother Matthew Anselmo, and is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Frank (Jim, Frankie) Bruno of Menifee, CA.; daughter Antonina Bruno of San Diego, CA; son and daughter-in-law David & Leanne Bruno of Nashville, TN.; brothers Frank Peter Anselmo of Brooklyn, NY., Richard (Naomi) Anselm of Dix Hills, NY., Calvin (Darlene) Anselmo of Lakewood, WA., Peter (Toni) Anselmo of Mechanicsburg, PA.; sister Antonia (Richard) Cardel of Mechanicsburg, PA.; and the true apples of her eye, her three granddaughters, Lucy, Phoebe and Bridget Bruno.
