Virginia B. ( Jinny ) Moores

1916-2018

Virginia Moores died surrounded by her family on December 19, 2018 at the age of 102.  She was born October 11, 1916 in Elmwood Place, a section of Cincinnati, Ohio.

She is survived by her loving children, son Jeffrey and daughter Judith Reagan, granddaughter Jennifer (Reagan) Robinson and her two great-grandsons Kai and Lang.  She was predeceased by her husband Richard.

After living in Connecticut for over twenty years, Richard and Virginia moved to Rancho Bernardo in 1978.  They joined St. Michael's Parish, Poway where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and Usher.   She also volunteered for other significant community activities.  She was active with Richard in the the Food Group at St. Michael's under the auspices of St. Vincent dePaul which collected and distributed food donations daily from local grocery stores to various  families and charities in the San Diego area.

She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, and reading.  She golfed into her eighties.

A funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018 at St. Michael's Church, 15546 Pomerado Rd, Poway, CA.  92064.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael's Church or St. Michael's Food Group in Poway.

The family would like to thank her dedicated caregivers and the staff of Hospice of the South Coast who took such loving care of Virginia.
