Vivian Aurelia
Arroyo
March 27, 1945 – February 15, 2023
Vivian Arroyo (DeCeoursty), age 77, passed away on February 15, 2023 in Poway, CA. She was born on March 27, 1945 in Vallejo, CA as the oldest child to parents Jean and Vivian. She grew up in San Francisco and spent the majority of her adult life in San Diego County, CA. Vivian was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed gardening, boxing, researching her family genealogy, and was an avid reader and book collector.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, her younger brother David, and most tragically by her oldest son, Daniel who passed away in 2006. Vivian is survived by her sons Nicholas (and his wife, Jenn) and Marc (and his wife, Nancy), her sister Elaine, and her seven grandchildren, Ethan, Emily, Emmet, Micah, Jaxon, Lucas and Rylee. Vivian also treasured her relationship with her sister-in-law, Gail, her brother-in-law, Wayne, and her nephews and niece.
Nicholas and Marc are left with many fond memories of their mom, as well as childhood family memories they shared with their older brother, Danny along with their mom and dad (Julio) who sadly passed away just days before Vivian. In recent years, Vivian battled Parkinson's disease, and was a faithful attender of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Poway for many years. Her faith and the love of her family carried her through the darkest of days, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
