Obituary

Vivian Therese McMahon, born October 25 th , 1930 in Blue Island, Ill and raised in Chicago.

Vivian graduated from De Paul University with a degree in Drama and Fine Arts.   Over the years Jack and Vivian lived in Chula Vista, Ocean Beach, Ramona and in 1969 moved to Poway for life.

She and Jack had a fine arts studio in Ocean Beach where many of her children learned music, dance and poetry. She worked alongside her husband at San Diego Junior Theater as well as Parks and Recreation. They also ran the Ramona Theater for several years, producing plays along with showing movies.

Jack and Vivian owned and operated the successful Mexican Villa Restaurant in Ramona and Poway for 13 years.

Vivian went to truck driving school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and for 3 years drove an 18 wheeler with Jack cross country!

Jack and Vivian created a Vaudeville act called "Shades of Vaudeville" and traveled the country performing at schools and retirement homes.

Vivian loved horse racing, fishing and she was an ardent Padres fan! Most of all she loved her family.

Vivian is survived by 7 children, 13 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren!

There will be a Mass at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Poway at 10 am on Friday, October 20th.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Vivian's favorite charity, St. Labre Indian School in Ashland, Montana ( stlabre.org ).

Thank you to everyone that shared in Vivian's life. Your thoughts, prayers and love were a blessing and are much appreciated by her family.
