William "Bill" Brown, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, April 16 ^th .

Bill is survived by his wife, son Corey, daughter Allison and his sister, Phyllis.  He also leaves behind two adored grandchildren, Harper and Wyatt.

Bill, born in Lexington, Kentucky was destined by birth to love thoroughbred racing and Kentucky Wildcat basketball.  Bill attended Bryan Station High School, where he excelled in football. Bill attended Eastern Kentucky University where he earned his teaching degree and a regular commission in the United States Army through ROTC.

He entered the army in 1971 with Erlangen, Germany as his first full three-year assignment. There he met and married Susan Brown of Carson, California. Bill's tours took him to Texas, back to Kentucky, Georgia and Korea. Having attained the rank of Major, Bill retired with his family to Southern California in 1991 and began working for the Metropolitan Transit System. He again retired in 2007 and spent much of his time following his beloved Los Angeles Dodgers and enjoying the company of his family.
